Despite adding so much elegance and class to your dinner table, you can see that Gordon’s truffled baked new potatoes couldn’t be easier to make! All you have to do is wash the potatoes and then put them into a baking tray. Once in the baking tray, season the potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Then, place the potatoes into a preheated oven for around 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. When the potatoes are done cooking, transfer them to your serving tray where you will finish off the dish with freshly grated parmesan cheese and desirable slivers of black truffles. It really couldn’t be any easier to create a side dish that will impress your friends and family, making it a perfect choice for a special occasion.

We also wanted to point out one very important detail in this recipe. Gordon Ramsay only uses new potatoes. While some people would assume this means fresh potatoes (and they should be fresh), new potatoes are actually a type of small potato that is known for its thin, wispy skin and crisp, waxy texture. These potatoes are young and not fully grown and keep their shape once cooked and cut. Several brands of new potatoes are sold in supermarkets, but just know that you are generally looking for small potatoes that have been harvested before reaching maturity.
