The autumn season not only means it's time for Pumpkin Spice Lattes, it's also squash season. One of our favorites is the acorn squash, which has a beautiful, marbled green exterior and warm orange interior. The hardest part of making this recipe is cutting the squash in half - patience is key, and you'll want a firm and sturdy surface and a sharp knife.
Pre-heat your oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit, and while your oven is reaching temperature, add in the following into each cavity:
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- a dollop of honey
- salt and pepper
Pop it into the oven for a bit, and mid-bake, remove and add in a teaspoon of sugar and baste the surface of the acorn squash flesh.
Put the acorn squash back into the oven, and finish baking. Total baking time should be 55 to 60 minutes.
