According to a survey by Penske Truck Rental, these were the most popular cities for Americans to relocate to in 2021. Let’s take a look at what each city has to offer!

Published 05/30/2022

2021 was a busy year for homebuyers and sellers, and 2022 is expected to be similar! Compared to 2020, approximately 20% more people moved in 2021, with permanent remote work status enabling up to 23 million Americans to relocate. For anyone looking at the real estate market, it’s certainly a lot to take in!

Every year, Penske Truck Rental reflects on the housing market in the previous year by using data from its one-way truck rentals to see where Americans moved to most. Penske uses its data to determine the top 10 most popular cities to relocate to in the country. And earlier in May, Penske released its list of the most popular cities for movers in 2021.
