Cesar Millan is Shocked to Learn a Dog Tried to Attack a Toddler’s Throat! | Cesar 911
The stakes are high when Cesar finds out a pair of dogs are ruining a family’s business and threatening their toddler’s life.
Puncture wounds, people thrown off horses…and that’s not even the worst of it! Cesar Millan meets Jim McKendrick who shares his grievances over his ranch’s two violent dogs Bastian (a Rottweiler) and Gunny (a bulldog). In addition to threatening their horse stable business, Gunny has attacked Jim’s toddler twice - once trying to go for his throat.
“The rottweiler’s (Bastian) energy is so crazy high, when my wife tries to work horses, the dog will come out of nowhere and run back and forth, or he’ll grab a bucket or anything that makes a lot of noise, causing the horse to be nervous.”
“That’s when the bulldog (Gunny) attacks the rottweiler.”
“Sometimes there’s, you know, blood, there’s puncture wounds. There’s just a lot of aggression and danger in that whole ball of fury.”
“There’s a few clients who come here quite often and have been thrown off a horse because of what the dogs have done. The repercussions could have been terrible. It could just be devastating to the business.”
“And then, I have a 3 year old son that Gunny bit.”
“He put a big puncture in his hand, had to spend a week in the hospital, have surgery, drain it. It was terrible.”
“The second time, he’s laying down next to me, and my son came over, and he was…my son’s energy was high, but he did something, and this dog went from laying down to his throat.”
“And I grabbed the dog, put the dog out in the backyard and said: What if I wasn’t in the room? Would he have secured the latch on the throat? And I stay awake at night with that.”
Cesar is taken aback and responds: “Just so you know, when a dog goes after the throat, THAT’S A KILL.”
“At that point, I threatened to shoot the dog. I’m a parent and I need to protect my child.”
“That’s a hard one. I almost wanna run!” exclaims Cesar.
Cesar hides behind a shed and observes a horse exercise from afar, and like clockwork, Bastian and Gunny both get riled up. Bastian initiates the chaos, which riles up Gunny.
“Bastian is definitely excited, but not like aggressive. This one (Gunny)...you see the predator. One stays in a playful state, the other one goes to a predator state.”
The situation climaxes when Gunny attacks the horse, causing Jim’s wife Joy get pulled down to the ground.
Cesar has no choice but to step in and offer a correction before the situation continues to escalate.
